President of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries Limited, Lara Quentrall-Thomas, is saying the announced Covid-19 measures are punishing the compliant small businesses, who have been  doing their part in the fight against Covid19. Speaking on TV6’s Morning Edition on Friday, Mrs Thomas said these small businesses cannot afford to closed their doors as  these businesses are usually low income businesses and  their employees cannot afford to be home.

Mrs Quentrall-Thomas added there is a lack of consultation when decisions are being made by the government. She added, most of the private sector have put measures in place at their businesses to ensure compliance, and these businesses, restaurants, and other service providers are being asked to close their doors until May 23rd.
