Swifts shot up to an 18-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and 32-19 at half time, as Helen Housby scored 3 and Sophie Garbin scored 2 to complete the scoring for the winners. For the Vixens, Mwai Kumwenda scored 26 goals.
After 3 rounds, Samantha Wallace is second on the goal count list. She has a total of 131 goals and trails Jamaican Jhaniele Fowler. But ‘Sam’ enjoys a better percentage rate, as she has 131 from 135 attempts while Fowler’s 169 goals has resulted from 181 attempts. Wallace is also second in the Suncorp Net Points list, with 225.5 points. Jhaniele Fowler leads that table with 258 points.
In round 4, The Swifts will face the Sunshine Coast Lightning, who beat the West Coast Feaver 69-54 on Saturday.
