Braces from goalkeeper Jabari Gray, Shallun Bobb and Dominic McDougall ensured Trinidad and Tobago reached the quarter finals of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships with a 7-5 win over Turks and Caicos islands.
Trinidad and Tobago needed to win against Turks and Caicos islands, which would place twin islands 3rd, after 2 goal losses to Costa Rica and United States.

Captain Ryan Augustine opened the scoring in the 10th minute, before goalkeeper Jabari Gray scored from distance to make it 2-0. Shallun Bobb made it 3-0 before the goalkeeper got his second goal to make it 4-0. Turks and Caicos got 2 quick goals to make it 4-2 before Shallun Bobb completed his double for a 3 goal lead.
Trinidad and Tobago eventually won the game 7-5, to finish 3rd in Group C on 3 points, behind Costa Rica ( 9 points) and USA (6 points ).
On Friday, Trinidad and Tobago will now face El Salvador who finished Group B winners, with 3 straight matches. The two finalists of the tournament will qualify for the Beach Football World Cup in Russia, that will take place in August.
