WALLACE SCORES 38, BUT SWIFTS LOSE TO LIGHTNING

Trinidad and Tobago international Samantha Wallace, again led her New South Wales team’s shooting, but this time it was in a 54-58 losing effort to the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday. Wallace scored 38 goals (36/37 and 1/3 super shots) to lead the Swifts in shooting every game so far this season.

Wallace was again supported by Helen Housby, who scored 13 goals, and Sophie Garbin scored 3.

For the winners, Cara Koenen scored 39 and Steph Wood scored 18.

With the result, Lightning and Swifts exchange positions in the standings, with Swifts now 3rd with 8 points as Lightning go up to second with 12 points. Giants lead the standings with 16 points, and a perfect 4 wins from 4 matches.

Swifts next game is on Sunday 30th, against 4th placed Collingwood Magpies (with Kalifa Mc Collin), who are also on 8 points.
