Jamaican Superstar Jhanielle Fowler scored 55 goals to lead West Coast Fever to a 66-65 win over leaders Giants in a battle of the unbeaten teams. The win meant the Collingwood Magpies, with T&T’s Kalifa Mc Collin in their roster have dropped to 5th in the table also with 8 points, but with an inferior goal difference percentage.
It was a tale of two halves, as Giants led the at the end of the first two quarters, 17-13 at the end of the first quarter and 37-29 at half time. But Fever cut the deficit to 47-50 at the end of the third.
Sasha Glasgow supported Fowler with 11 goals, with 6 of them resulting from super shots. Jo Harten scored 37 goals for Giants, while Sohie Dwyer scored 28 in support.
Fever next play Mc Collin’s Magpies while Giants face Wallace’s Swifts next weekend.
