West Indies top order batsman Shai Hope has been recalled to the West Indies test team after a good showing in the recent warm up match in St Lucia. Hope scored 79 and 104 and was the only person to score 100 in the match. In addition to that, Hope has been consistent for the West Indies against Sri Lanka in the recent ODI series with scores of 110, 84 and 64 to be named the Man of the Series.

Shai Hope is set to partner fellow Barbadian and captain Kraigg Brathwaithe at the top of the order as there was no room for Jamaican opener John Campbell who has been struggling at the top of the order. Shai Hope usually opens and keeps wicket for West Indies in ODI’s but bats in the middle in Tests. Now, he is most likely to face the new ball, as his runs in the warm up and the warm up against Sri Lanka came when he opened the innings.
Also in the team is tall all rounder Roston Chase. Chase who had a bright start to his Test career, struggled with the bat in the last few matches, until he was dropped. But he has found favour with the selectors after the creditable performance with both bat and ball in the latest trial match.
