Trinidad and Tobago shooter Kalifa McCollin came of the bench to score 5 goals, but her team, the Collingwood Magpies fell to their worst defeat of the season when they were beaten 78-55 by the West Coast Fever.
Jamaican Jhaniele Fowler again stole the show with 59 goals at the Ken Rosewall Arena, as the Fever have won their 6th straight match. However, because of the 12 point deduction at the start of the season, they now move to 3rd in the standings, above, Samantha Wallace’s Swifts, who play leaders Giants on Sunday.
KALIFA MC COLLIN SCORED 5 IN LOSS TO WEST COAST FEVER
Collingwood Magpies got the bulk of their goals from Jamaican Shimona Nelson, who scored 40 goals. Gabriele Sinclair scored 8 for Magpies. For West Coast, Sasha Glasgow scored 13 in support of Fowler.
With the loss, Magpies remain 5th, but that can possibly change if 7th place Vixens beat bottom place Thunderbirds by a large enough margin.
