There are unconfirmed reports circulating in the Trinidad and Tobago Football World that the Normalisation Committee is preparing to fire the entire coaching staff of the Trinidad and Tobago Senior football team that failed to qualify for the final stage of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Soca Warriors, who were more like the Soca ‘Worriers’, knocked themselves out of further participation when they drew with 201-ranked Bahamas, failing to score a single goal, against a team who conceded 15 in their previous 3 matches. The Warriors then played their ‘best’ match of the campaign when they beat group winners St Kitts/Nevis 2-0 on Tuesday, in a meaningless match.
But it was after that match, during the post match comments, Fenwick poured more hot water on himself, when he referenced the TTFA as being in a mess, and added the team had little or no support during the preparations of the matches. It is not confirmed if these comments are the reason the axe is being ready. Fenwick is however in quarantine having returned to the country, but he may well be placed in a football quarantine as the unconfirmed reports suggest he is not willing to meet with his employers without his lawyer.
