DWAYNE BRAVO DEFENDS ‘OLD MEN’

West Indies allrounder Dwayne Bravo says the older players in the team, himself 37, Chris Gayle,41 and Fidel Edwards, 39 all have contributions to make in West Indies cricket. Bravo maintained that he does not need to answer those who claim they are ‘too old’ for the team and that they should retire. Bravo reminded the public that he has proven to the world what he is capable of. “We are here for a purpose, we are here for a reason”, Bravo told sports journalists during a virtual media conference ahead of the final T20I between the West Indies and South Africa ( If the game will actually play).

“Chris Gayle is the best player we have ever seen in this format of the game and Fidel Edwards is a quality bowler. We are happy to be part of this team”.

Regarding his #9 batting position, Bravo said he is a cricketer and it does not matter where he bats.

“I am in the team”. He added “Fabien Allen is a great young talent” and he is doing well with the bat. Bravo says he is ‘Happy to be at #9. “it’s not about Dwayne Bravo, it’s about having a very good squad”.
