The Netball family is mourning the loss of former Netball Association President Martha Archer, who died on Monday.
Hailing from Tobago, Archer was the first Tobagonian to be elected President of a National Sporting body, when she was in charge of the Netball Association from 1991 to 2003, and again from 2005 to 2007.
She was also in charge of the Tobago Netball League from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2007 to 2013.
Mrs Archer was also President of the Americas Federation of Netball Associations from 1994 to 2018.
In extending condolences, the Netball Association described Archer as a ‘lifelong supporter of the sport.’
Archer was awarded the Humming Bird Medal Gold in 2019 for her contributions to sport.
