JOHNNY HAMILTON SHINES ON HIS RETURN TO THE TURKISH SUPER LEAGUE

Johnny Hamilton’s return to the Turkey Super Lig started with a bitter-sweet taste as he made a losing start for his new team, 14th ranked Afyon Belediyespor on Friday. Afyon fell 106-73 to Yalovaspor to remain in a battle to avoid relegation. While Hamilton was on the losing end, his personal stats were impressive as he scored 14 points, pulled 13 rebounds, and effected 6 block shots in the losing effort. Hamilton was also perfect from the free-throw line (8-8).

HAMILTON PLAYED 4 GAMES WITH THE ATLANTA HAWKS IN THE PRE-SEASON BEFORE JOINING SKY HAWKS

Hamilton signed with the Atlanta Hawks ahead of the pre-season and was sent to their G League Affiliate team the College Park Skyhawks. Hamilton has previously played with Fenerbache and Darussafaka in the Turkish Lig and Mornar Bar in the Montenegrin Basketball League.

Afyon will be seeking to avoid relegation as the bottom 2 teams will face the drop. Afyon are just 1 spot above the drop zone.
