Police and the University of Trinidad and Tobago were supposed to face off in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader at the Pleasantville Indoor Facility on Saturday. That game was called off as the referee was not at the venue on time. The teams were on the court warming up for over and hour before the decision was made so that the second game, Maloney Pacers and Spartans could take place.
The Big Basketball League takes full responsibility for the unfortunate development and assures the teams and fans there will be no more occurrences in the future.
Sunday’s game against Quarters and Straker Nets is expected to proceed at 4pm.
