Jeffrey Saunders scored 19 points to lead the unbeaten Valencia Heat to a 76-61 win over Caledonia Clippers in the Big Basketball League at the Maloney Indoor Facility on Sunday evening.
Heat got off to a dominating start and closed the first quarter with a 22-12 lead. Wilt Vincent then led the Clippers with 6 points in the second quarter as Caledonia brought the deficit to 8 (37-29) by halftime.
The fitter Heat, and then took advantage of the younger legs, despite playing 24 hours earlier, and ended the 3rd period leading 57-46.

Kevin Garcia added 17 and Fabrice Fisher scored 15. For the Clippers, who are now third in the Eastern Conference, Orlando Mapp scored 12, and Wilt Vincent added 10.
Valencia now go to 10 points, level with the Maloney Pacers as the two teams remain unbeaten in the tournament.
